What does High Oaks do?

High Oaks, Inc. is a regional philanthropic organization which serves Christian Scientists by offering financial aid for:

  • Christian Science nursing care in a facility or at home
  • Christian Science practitioner fees
  • Tuition for Christian Science nurses training courses
  • Tuition for Christian Science camps, family camps and transportation for campers
  • Emergency funds, on a short-term basis, for needs other than nursing or practitioner fees

All benevolence is offered in support and expectation of healing.

Applicants must be residents of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia or the District of Columbia.

High Oaks also provides an inspirational meeting for students of Christian Science each year.  These include talks, workshops, and films.  Additionally, High Oaks provides informational resources pertinent to Christian Scientists.

SAVE THE DATE — SATURDDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2019 — A PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION ABOUT HEALTHCARE PLANNING FOR CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS –What You and Your Families Need to Know and Why with Bonnie Castroman, Manager of Nursing Services at The Mother Church and Leslie Connery, Manager of International Government Relations at The Mother Church. The meeting will be held at Second Church of Christ, Scientist, Philadelphia, 3015 West School House Lane.  Check back here for details.

The confidentiality of each individual applying is assured.

Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis, and may be submitted thereafter for additional consideration.  The due date for receiving applications is the 15th of each month.  A letter of notification is mailed by the beginning of the following month.
